A watchdog for crypto exchanges, built in Asia
Takame checks exchanges against the registers regulators actually publish, and shows the working. We are based in Tokyo and we build for Asia first.
Mission
Make it obvious, in under a minute, whether an exchange is regulated where you live. The information already exists in public registers. It is scattered across languages, file formats and legal entity names almost nobody can connect to a brand. We do that connecting work and publish the result with its sources attached.
Vision
To become the reference people in Asia check before they move money onto an exchange, the way travellers check a safety rating before booking. That means covering every register that matters in this region, in the languages this region reads, and holding a standard of evidence that makes the answer worth trusting.
How we hold ourselves to it
- 01
Rankings are not for sale
Exchanges can buy labelled sponsorship and paid verification of documents. They cannot buy a position or a grade, at any price. A paid verification buys the review, not the outcome.
- 02
Every claim carries its source
If we say an exchange holds a licence, the entity name and a link to the register are one click away. If we cannot verify a link, we mark it unverified rather than rounding up.
- 03
We say what we do not know
We read licence registers in 5 jurisdictions today, not forty. An exchange missing from our table has not been judged unlicensed, and we write that on the page instead of letting a blank imply guilt.
- 04
A false accusation is worse than a miss
We never flag an exchange as non-compliant on a name match alone. The cost of wrongly branding a company falls on real people, so that call needs hard evidence.
Who we are
Takame is built by a small team in Tokyo working across Japanese, English and Chinese-speaking markets. We are not an exchange, a broker or a fund. We hold no customer assets and we do not route anyone's trades.
